Once again a Soapbox team is going to Salima in July. Previous teams have proved very popular with the school and community and have made a great impression with their hard work and friendliness.
Children's worker Monica Cook returned to Malawi in April with a friend. She has set up a structured programme for the youth workers. On another very positive visit she again met many times with local childrens' leaders and lots of useful suggestions for future planning were made.
In October a large group, led by Chairman Chris Knott, is going before and during half-term. It will include many people who work in schools.
Several volunteers will also be going to consolidate the schools' linking and also to set up a health education programme. |
