Agape means the love of Christ. In 2003 Rachel Lungu witnessed women being forced into prostitution in one of the worst famines in the history of Malawi. Women could not find food to feed their families and became desperate.
Originally Rachel used her own garage to provide sewing classes. However, such was the demand that new premises have been locted in Lemesi.
Agape ministers to the person- sharing the love of Christ and the practical need to have a profession to look after their families.
At the end of the 6 month training period women are given a sewing machine and followed up to ensure their health and welfare.
God is changing lives through this ministry. |
